Prescribing Wisely in Harrow and at EHMC…
From the 1st December 2017, patients have been asked to request their repeat prescriptions from the surgery directly rather than from their community pharmacy.
The best way to do this is requesting your repeat medication on-line (click here for more information). To help cut down on waste we ask that you only order the medication you need when you are down to your last 2 weeks supply. This request once signed by the doctor can be sent electronically to your pharmacy to be picked up. If you wish to set up EPS (Electronic prescribing service) – please discuss this with your chemist or one of our admin staff who can arrange this for you.
The reason for this is to reduce unnecessary requests for medications and to save medication wastage.
If you are unable to request your own medications – please discuss this with a member of our practice team who will advise you how best to proceed.
